Church Choir

About our Choir

We’re a welcoming choir for all - whether you’re finding your voice for the first time or returning to singing - and we’d love you to join us as we worship together.

The Tanworth in Arden Church Choir plays a valued role in our worship life, supporting the congregation at regular Sunday Parish Communion services throughout the year. While the choir does not sing every week, its presence adds depth and beauty to our worship when it does.

Beyond Sunday services, the choir leads the singing at our much-loved Carol Service and contributes to many special services across the church year. From Advent and Christmas through Lent and Easter, the choir helps us mark key moments in the Christian calendar with music that is thoughtful, uplifting, and prayerful.

The choir is made up of soprano, alto, tenor, and bass voices. We welcome adult singers of all ages and backgrounds, and while children are welcome to join, the choir is currently all adult. There is a wide mix of musical experience within the group, and you don’t need to be an expert — just enthusiastic and willing to join in. Our repertoire is varied, ranging from Renaissance music to more contemporary church pieces and we enjoy singing both acappella and accompanied works.

New singers in all voice parts are always very welcome. If you enjoy singing and would like to be part of a friendly, supportive choir that helps lead worship in a relaxed and inclusive church community, we’d love you to join us.

For more information, contact our team by emailing tanworthchurch@gmail.com, drop in to a general rehearsal on a Friday (In church from 19:00) or speak with any chorister after a service.
